"Remember when everything is all dire and bleak, someone will help. Don’t lose hope."


People are all connected to each other whether by blood, affection or in any other ways. But the most important thing is that we are bound by goodness. Jean-Jacques Rousseau, a philosopher, emphasized that people were born inherently good. Thus, let us take a step regardless of a person’s appearance we all shall help and be included in the society. Let us celebrate the birth of our hero, Apolinario Mabini and together we give support to the PWDs. 


People regardless of appearance shall be embraced in the society. Importantly, people with disabilities need to be included in everyday activities such as inclusion in jobs, practices, policies and more. Let their disabilities be their capabilities.


People were blessed by the grace of God. Thus, each one of us is a great creation and a gift to one another.  We are given eyes to see the sufferings of disabled people, we have ears to hear aches and rights, feet to walk towards them and two arms to extend our help.


Proclamation No. 361 dated August 19, 2000 declaring the third week of July as the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week which shall culminate on the birthdate of the sublime paralytic: Apolinario Mabini on 23rd of July.
